What this site collects
This site has no sign-up, no contact form and no comments. There is nothing here for you to fill in, so we hold no name, no email address and no account for you.
We do count visits. Each page load requests a one-pixel image from our own server, which adds one to a daily total. To avoid counting the same person twice in a day, that request's IP address and browser string are combined into a scrambled value using a secret that changes every day — the result cannot be turned back into an IP address, and tomorrow the same visitor produces a different value. We keep the daily totals and a marker that expires after 48 hours. We never store your IP address, your browser string, or any cookie. There is no advertising, no third-party tracker and no profiling of any kind.
We do this to know roughly how many people visit — our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. If you would rather not be counted, any tracker-blocker will stop the request, and nothing on this site will break.
The apps are a separate matter
Sojourn Tax Residency and Sojourn Logbook keep your records on your own phone, and each has its own privacy policy: Sojourn Tax privacy policy · Sojourn Logbook privacy policy.
